[Rich Dad] thought it foolish to spend your life working for money and to pretend that money was not important. Rich Dad believed life was more important than money, but money was important for supporting life.”Robert Kiyosaki, Cashflow Quadrant
We don’t need to worship money. Far from it. But like Rich Dad said, it’s foolish to pretend money is not important.
After all, you probably work every day to earn money. You don’t ignore financial bills in the mail. You are probably at least a little anxious about your investments and whether they can support you later in life.
When you acknowledge that money is important, you can take the mystery out of it. It’s just a game that you must play, and you might as well get good at it.
Why? Because when you get good at money, it can support your life instead of making it worse.
Money can buy you free time. Money can allow you to work a job you love. Money can support causes that are important to you. Money can allow you to travel and explore. Money can give you the freedom and autonomy to do things YOUR way instead of selling out to jobs, people, or organizations that aren’t consistent with your values.
So, what can success with money support in your life? What do you tell people who say money is not important? I’d love to hear from you in the comments section below.
